The Northwest Report
June 2, 2011
A college student from Portland, Oregon apparently made a big mistake when he decided to spend his spring break studying and documenting various transportation systems. On March 11, 2011, the student was detained for filming a Baltimore, Maryland light rail line.
He was approached by two police officers who then instructed the student to stop video taping. They initially cited the Patriot Act. Later, one of the officers cited that he was audio recording without his permission. They detained him for a prolonged period of time as indicated in these videos.
